The Department of Bioethics engages in critical analysis of moral and social issues, and promotes ethical practices and policies in all spheres of health. We pursue this goal through three integrated areas of activity:
- Scholarly work that contributes to, and advances, the interdisciplinary field of bioethics
- Ethics education and capacity building within the Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University, healthcare institutions and communities
- Collaborative engagement with healthcare institutions, government and communities to provide ethics support that is attentive to diversity, inclusiveness and social justice
